David Ameeti Memorial Party
Sunday, February 28, 2010, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Hakuna Matata!
No more worries for the rest of your days.
The theme behind Hakuna Matata was David's goal of living. This up beat song from the Lion King was a way of life that he believed people should seek to have as their way of life. David did not mind and in fact enjoyed it when people would recognize his 'Goofy' personality. He was always looking to make people smile. And then too, he was a Disney fan through and through. Always ready for another day of exploring the Magic Kingdom.
To this end, David requested that we celebrate his life rather than his death. His hope was that we would have a party with music, dancing, food, and friends. So if you knew David and would like to honor the friendship that he enjoyed with you, then join us at his memorial party.
Sunday, February 28, 2010, from 11 am to 2 pm we will be having fun knowing that David will be smiling at us from above. Michael Stephens, son of Bob & Barbara Stephens, has generously offered that we could gather in Northridge for this party.
David has requested that instead of memorial flowers, that for those that desire, that donations be made to organizations with children, square dance, or cancer themes. The following organizations have been chosen for your convenience.
Make A Wish Foundation
The Make A Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
E-SOL
E-SOL is a San Fernando Valley vocational training facility for Special Needs children and young adults.
American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
CA Square Dance Council Youth Advisory Committee
The CA Square Dance Council makes available scholarships for youth that join in and volunteer to help make the Square Dance world a fun place for youth.
Some friends have asked what they could offer as it seems many of David's friends were givers as David was. To this end, for those that enjoy this sort of thing, perhaps a bit of dessert for others to enjoy.
For those that wish to offer a card of condolence, please address these to either of David's daughters. The girls will share the cards with each other.
